The Ladies’ Golf Association at Lake Monticello held its annual fund raiser in support of the Cancer Foundation. The weather cooperated beautifully after a prediction of storms and showers. Both the 18-hole Ladies and the 9-hole Ladies got their tournaments in before the weather set in. This event is held annually and has been supported and attended well throughout the years. There aren’t any losers in this event. The Ladies did a fine job of organization and had some of the men in the community to participate.

Enthusiasm is high for use of the Family tee program. It offers a package that makes learning the game and can monitor your progress. This program is not for kids only but also their parents who wish to learn the game. Both can feel comfortable with choosing a tee that offers the best opportunity to develop your game to the next level. All interested new golfers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and see the progress that is made. Adults will soon see how soon they can move up to the regular tees and still enjoy weekend time of play with their children. Remember you can continue your progress when the weather is bad by making use of the indoor facility at the marina. Have fun and you will be ready to enjoy all that the game offers come spring.
