Open Door Christian School held its fifth annual field day recently. It was a perfect spring day for all the teachers, parents, and kids grades pre-school to middle school. Activities of the day included tug of war, egg toss with real eggs, sponge relay and water gun shoot outs, sack race, sumo wrestling, broad jump, band- aid relay, and a very messy but tasty pie eating contest. There was also a moon bounce, face painting , and a craft table.
Shane Dyke, a parent at ODCS, dressed as a clown and entertained the kids with balloon animals and creative hats, and swords. The day continued with pizza from Dominos and funnel cakes and deep-fried Oreos donated by Annie Mac’s Kitchen from Louisa.
